Overview
A global health and wellness startup was preparing to commercialise a disruptive proposition in a highly regulated, competitive and rapidly evolving market.
Brand Clarity® provided embedded Fractional Chief Marketing Officer and commercial leadership as part of the executive team. The mandate extended beyond a conventional marketing function, integrating market strategy, commercial development, product experience, industry positioning, strategic partnerships, governance, organisational capability and culture.
The proof of concept was developed and validated in Australia and New Zealand while scalable brand, product, partnership, governance and commercial foundations were established for future global market entry.
The Challenge
The organisation needed to secure market share across practitioner and consumer audiences while its SaaS platform, proposition and commercial model were still evolving.
Success depended on more than awareness and lead generation. The business needed to establish a differentiated position, accelerate adoption, build credibility and align product development with customer and commercial priorities.
It also needed to operate responsibly within a market shaped by disruption, regulation, privacy, reputational sensitivity and changing consumer expectations.
The central challenge was to generate market traction while simultaneously building the strategic, commercial and organisational infrastructure required for responsible scale.
The Role of Brand Clarity®
Brand Clarity® led the marketing and commercial function through the transition from pre-revenue development to early-stage growth.
The engagement included:
brand strategy, narrative and positioning for local validation and future global market entry;
commercial strategy, value-proposition development and revenue modelling;
omni-channel market penetration across Australia and New Zealand;
industry strategy and the development of strategic brand and commercial partnerships;
product, SaaS customer experience and onboarding;
audience development, acquisition and reputation management;
regulatory governance, privacy, compliance and risk mitigation;
executive leadership, purpose-driven culture development, capability building and performance oversight.
The role combined strategic advisory with embedded executive leadership, functional accountability and implementation oversight across market, commercial and organisational priorities.
Strategic Approach
Working with the CEO and founder, Brand Clarity® co-developed an integrated growth strategy to validate the proposition in Australia and New Zealand while building scalable foundations for global market entry.
The strategy aligned market positioning, omnichannel penetration, partnerships, commercial development, product experience, and B2C and B2B customer acquisition. Market evidence informed executive decision-making, proposition refinement and investment priorities.
Governance and risk mitigation were embedded from the outset, spanning regulation, privacy, compliance, contracts, reputation management and brand controls. A purpose-driven model aligned the organisation around shared goals, strengthening collaboration, accountability and momentum while connecting commercial growth with broader social impact.
Proprietary content, digital assets, specialist capability and future revenue pathways were developed as enterprise assets to support international expansion.
